Last Friday Manali and I offered to look after our friend Skye because her human had to go to a work meeting for the whole day.
It was fun… and exhausting… but I loved every second of it.
Manali… I am not so sure she loved it, but I think she did enjoy a change of routine. She was happy most of the time and even went out and played with Skye in the garden for about 15 minutes.
However, as Skye became more confident in a new place, she tried to take over. I told Skye off, and Manali took that as permission to tell Skye off too and soon made her realise who was in charge. 😀. Manali, of course 😂.
By about 3pm I think Manali was wishing I would send Skye back; Skye, on the other hand, had probably decided she wanted to stay.
I think she enjoyed herself with a whole new set of toys and different treats to her usual ones.
I have offered to look after Skye again if her mum needs me to.
I would love to have another dog. I don’t think it will ever happen now that my circumstances have changed and I need to move from the only home I have had for nearly 25 years.
Oh well… one can dream… and hope…
